🎄 Christmas in July: A Sneak Peek at Western Elite’s Magical Christmas Express

While most people are packing for the lake or cranking up the A/C, we’re over here sipping cocoa (iced, of course) and dreaming of train whistles, twinkle lights, and reindeer cameos.

Why? Because it’s Christmas in July, and we’re counting down to one of the most heartwarming events in all of Nevada: the Western Elite Christmas Express.

If you’ve never heard of it, buckle up—or better yet, all aboard. This isn’t your average holiday light show. This is 5 nights of pure holiday magic hosted at a real working ranch by Western Elite, about an hour north of Las Vegas.

🚂 A Holiday Train Ride Through the North Pole (Kinda)

Every December, the Williams family and the Western Elite team transform the ranch property into a full-blown North Pole village—complete with festive train rides, hot cocoa stations, live animals (including a camel and a debra), and enough sparkle to light up the Mojave.

Picture this: It’s 40 degrees out, you’re bundled up under a starry sky, and a vintage-style train pulls into a glowing station. You and your family hop on, singing along to Christmas carols as you ride through a wonderland of lights, laughter, and maybe a snow machine or two (weather permitting, of course).

It’s like stepping into your favorite Hallmark movie—if that movie had free dinner and a hayride.

🎅 Not Just Lights and Cocoa—It’s a Full-On Experience

What makes the Christmas Express special isn’t just the what—it’s the why.

This isn’t a commercial event. There are no ticket sales, no gimmicks, no profit margins. It’s a completely free, invite-only community celebration that Western Elite throws every year for their employees, friends, veterans, first responders, and as appreciation to all customers.

Guests enjoy:

  • 🚜 Hayrides and carriage rides

  • 🐫 Live nativity scenes with real animals

  • 📸 Photo ops with Santa and Mrs. Claus

  • 🍽️ Complimentary dinner and hot cocoa

  • 🎁 A chance to give back through the toy drive for Cure 4 The Kids Foundation (and other foundations).

The event draws thousands of guests each year (over 12,000 in 2024!) and fills up its reservation slots faster than you can say “Rudolph.”

🎁 The Spirit of Giving, Western Style

Beyond the dazzling lights and Instagrammable moments, the heart of the Christmas Express is generosity.

Each year, guests are encouraged to bring new, unwrapped toys, which Western Elite donates to children battling life-threatening illnesses. It’s a beautiful collision of holiday cheer and real-world impact—proof that magic is real, and it rides a train through Lincoln County.

🗓️ Save the Date (Mentally… for Now)

This year’s Christmas Express is scheduled for five magical nights in early December (think Dec 6–14). Reservations will open closer to the date—and trust us, you’ll want to be quick on the draw. The elves don’t mess around.

Until then, grab some cocoa, crank up the Christmas playlist, and join us in counting the days. Because Christmas isn’t just a season.

Around here? It’s a state of mind.
