When to Rent a Roll-Off Dumpster
Short or Long Term Construction and Yard Clean up Projects
A roll off dumpster rental is a popular choice for various jobs, including construction, a home renovation project, and yard clean-up. The rental period for a dumpster typically ranges from one to seven days, depending on the dumpster rental company and the renter’s needs. However, if you need the dumpster for an extended period, you can always discuss it with us at Western Elite.
If you need your rental dumpster for longer than seven days, let us know before you make your reservation so we can work with you. Additional charges apply on top of the base rate, but we want to help you get the job done.
In the event you fill up your dumpster before the 7-day period ends, we can pick it up early at your request. Just like with delivery, we guarantee we can pick up the dumpster in a four-hour window of time.

Dumpster Placement at the Site
Be Present to Ensure Proper Placement
When renting a dumpster, it’s essential to ensure that the placement is appropriate and convenient for the job you have in hand. The ideal location for a roll-off dumpster is on a flat surface, preferably a driveway, parking lot, or any other hard surface that can support the weight of the dumpster. Ensure that there is ample space for the dumpster when it is delivered and that there is enough clearance for the delivery truck to enter the location.
We do ask that you’re present at the time we drop off your dumpster so you can ask us any questions you have, and we can be sure it’s placed in exactly the right spot. If it’s not possible for you to be there, you can leave specific delivery instructions with us when ordering online or over the phone.
What Can You Put in Your Dumpster Rental?
No BioWaste, Hazardous Materials, Freon, or Motors
It’s also essential to know what you can and cannot put into the rented dumpster. Typically, most rental companies, including ours, prohibit hazardous waste materials, including chemicals, oils, and toxic substances. Additionally, any electronics, such as computers and televisions, cannot be trashed in the dumpster. However, you can dispose of yard waste, appliances without freon, drywall, and roofing materials.
